Quick Fixes to Try First
Before anything else, try these three steps in order:
- Force-quit and reopen — Swipe up from the app switcher (iPhone/iPad) or Quit (Mac) and reopen TradingPlan
- Restart your device — A full restart clears temporary system issues that cause crashes
- Update the app — Open the App Store, search TradingPlan, and install any available update
If the crash persists after these steps, continue below.
The App Crashes on Launch
Check for Available Storage
If your device has very little free storage, apps can fail to launch.
- iPhone/iPad: Settings → General → iPhone Storage
- Mac: System Settings → General → Storage
If storage is below 1GB free, clear some space and try again.
Delete and Reinstall
A corrupted install can cause launch crashes:
- Delete TradingPlan from your device
- Restart your device
- Reinstall from the App Store
- Sign in with Apple — your data will sync from iCloud
The App Freezes or Becomes Unresponsive
- Force-quit the app (swipe up on iPhone/iPad; ⌘Q or Force Quit on Mac)
- Reopen it
If it freezes consistently on a specific screen or action, note what you were doing — this helps us identify and fix the issue. Report it via Profile → Help & Feedback.
The App Was Working Yesterday and Now It's Not
Check for:
- A system update — iOS or macOS updates occasionally require an app update to match. Check the App Store for a TradingPlan update
- An iCloud issue — if the app is trying to load data and iCloud is having a service disruption, it may stall. Check Apple's System Status
- Low storage or memory — try restarting your device to free up memory
Crash After a Major iOS Update
When iOS or macOS releases a significant update, there can occasionally be a brief period before app updates catch up. Check the App Store for an updated version of TradingPlan. If none is available yet, the issue will be fixed in the next update.
Reporting a Crash
If you're experiencing a repeatable crash, please report it so we can investigate:
- Go to Profile → Help & Feedback
- Describe what you were doing when the crash happened
- Include your device model and iOS/macOS version
- If you have a crash report from your device, that's helpful too
Crash reports help us find and fix issues faster for everyone.
