First: Check the Basics

Before diving into advanced steps, confirm these three things:

  1. Both devices are connected to the internet — sync requires an active connection on both the sending and receiving device
  2. Both devices are signed in with the same Apple ID — open Settings → [your name] on both devices and confirm they match
  3. A few minutes have passed — iCloud sync isn't instant. Allow 5–10 minutes before assuming something is wrong

If these are all fine and data still isn't syncing, work through the steps below.

Step 1: Check iCloud is Enabled for TradingPlan

On iPhone / iPad

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap iCloud
  4. Tap Apps Using iCloud (or scroll to find TradingPlan in the list)
  5. Make sure TradingPlan is toggled on

On Mac

  1. Open System Settings
  2. Click your name (Apple ID)
  3. Click iCloud
  4. Under "Apps Using iCloud" or "iCloud Drive", confirm TradingPlan is enabled

If it was off, turn it on and wait a few minutes for an initial sync.

Step 2: Check iCloud Storage

If your iCloud storage is full, new data can't sync.

  1. On iPhone: Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage
  2. Check whether storage is near or at capacity

If it's full, free up space (delete old backups, photos, or files) or upgrade your iCloud storage plan. Once space is available, sync should resume automatically.

Step 3: Force a Background Refresh

Sometimes the app needs a nudge to pick up new data.

  1. On the receiving device, close TradingPlan completely (swipe up from the app switcher on iPhone/iPad, or Quit on Mac)
  2. Wait 30 seconds
  3. Reopen TradingPlan

This forces the app to re-check for pending sync data.

Step 4: Check Apple's iCloud Status

Occasionally iCloud experiences service disruptions. Check Apple's System Status page and look for any issues with iCloud Drive or CloudKit.

If Apple shows a known issue, it should resolve on its own once Apple fixes it. There's nothing you need to do.

Step 5: Sign Out and Back In (Last Resort)

If nothing else works:

  1. Go to Profile in TradingPlan
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Sign Out
  3. Wait 30 seconds
  4. Sign back in with Sign In With Apple

This re-establishes the iCloud connection. Your data is safe — it remains in iCloud and will sync when you sign back in.
