Quick Fix: Restore Purchase

The most reliable fix is to use Restore Purchase:

  1. Go to Profile in TradingPlan
  2. Tap Upgrade to Pro
  3. On the upgrade screen, tap Restore Purchase
  4. Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or Apple ID password

This tells the app to re-verify your subscription status with Apple. Pro features should activate immediately after.

Why This Happens

After a successful Apple payment, there's occasionally a brief delay before the subscription status is passed back to the app. This is more common when:

  • You're on a slow internet connection
  • The App Store had a temporary hiccup during the transaction
  • You purchased on one device and are checking on another

In all these cases, Restore Purchase resolves it.

Step 1: Confirm the Purchase Actually Went Through

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Tap your name → Subscriptions
  3. Find TradingPlan in the list
  4. Confirm it shows as an active subscription

If TradingPlan doesn't appear in your subscriptions, the purchase may not have completed. Check your email for an Apple receipt.

Step 2: Check You're Signed in With the Right Apple ID

The Pro subscription is tied to the Apple ID used to purchase it. If you're signed in to TradingPlan with a different Apple ID than the one used for the purchase, the app won't recognise the subscription.

How to check:

  • Go to Profile in TradingPlan and note the account name
  • Go to Settings on your device and check the Apple ID name at the top
  • They should match — and the Apple ID should be the same one that made the purchase

Step 3: Check Your Internet Connection

The subscription check requires an internet connection. If you're offline or on a very poor connection, the verification may fail silently.

Connect to Wi-Fi and try Restore Purchase again.

Step 4: Restart the App

  1. Close TradingPlan completely (swipe up from app switcher on iPhone/iPad, or Quit on Mac)
  2. Wait 10 seconds
  3. Reopen the app
  4. Go to Profile and check subscription status

Step 5: Restart Your Device

A full device restart clears any cached App Store state:

  1. Power off completely
  2. Power back on
  3. Open TradingPlan and try Restore Purchase again

If You Were Charged But Pro Isn't Working

If your bank statement or Apple receipt confirms you were charged but Pro features still aren't active after trying all the above, contact us at Profile → Help & Feedback with:

  • Your Apple ID email
  • The date of purchase
  • A screenshot of your Apple subscription screen showing TradingPlan as active

We'll work with you to resolve it. Do not purchase again — it won't help and you may end up with a duplicate charge. Contact Apple for a refund if needed at reportaproblem.apple.com.
