What is TradingPlan?

TradingPlan is a personal trading discipline app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It helps you build, document, and execute your trading plan — so you trade by your rules, not by your emotions.

Most traders lose not because they lack knowledge, but because they lack structure. TradingPlan fixes that by giving you a framework to:

Everything you've decided about how you trade — your edge, your rules, your risk limits — lives in one place. Then, when a trade opportunity appears, you run your strategy flow and let your rules make the call. Not your gut. Not market noise. Your plan.

What's in the App

Dashboard

Your home screen. Shows a customisable set of widgets: your strategies, active routines, a motivational quote, your philosophy summary, mindset notes, and more. You can choose which widgets appear and reorder them to suit how you work.

Trade Plan

The heart of the app. This is where you build your trading identity:

• Philosophy — your beliefs about markets, your analytical approach, your trading values and style
• Risk Management — how you size positions, your drawdown limits, and (on Pro) advanced risk rules
• Mindset — personal notes on the mental game
• Your Why — your deeper motivation for trading
• Routines — structured checklists for your trading sessions
• Business Notes — a running log of key observations and decisions

Strategies

Where your trading strategies live. Each strategy has rules for entry, stop-loss, targets, directional bias, active management, and analysis. You can create your own from scratch or study the example strategies included in the app.

Plan Builder

An interactive flow that walks you through the whole plan-building process step by step — useful when you're first setting up or reviewing and updating your plan.

This App Is Not

• A trading platform — it doesn't connect to brokers or execute trades
• A signal service — it doesn't tell you when to trade
• A journalling app — it doesn't log trade history or P&L
• Financial advice — everything in the app is for planning and discipline purposes
